After finding out my divorce lawyer was not licensed in the state of GA, I had to find a criminal and family lawyer for an initial hearing in 2 days. I came across KF Law while searching on Google to combat egregious (and false) accusations from my soon-to-be-ex, who was seemingly trying to get a one up in our divorce. After a quick initial consult, one of the partners introduced me to Kristoffer Sargent—whom they described as a compassionate attorney. I don't think compassionate alone crystallizes the type of attorney Kris is. Not only did he ingest vast amounts of information and evidence in record time with a short runway, he was equally dedicated to feeding me info, preparing me for all aspects of the hearing, answering my questions, and making sure I understood all the possible outcomes. And he knows his stuff—on the day of the hearing, it was clear his brain was bouncing with approaches overnight. After fulfilling his request for a document, he came back and explained another statute in our arsenal that he was going to present off the bat to get everything thrown out. When he met with the opposition's attorney and explained the statute, they weren't even familiar with it and started scrambling some. This was one of the many examples of his superior familiarity with the law. It wasn't long before they came back with an offer to throw everything out. Kris advised me that we could take this guarantee if I want—but I wanted to have my day at court and get reimbursed for attorney fees by the opposition. Kris is definitely compassionate, but if you need him to be a bulldog and things will still stay in your best interest, he is absolutely surgical with his approach. It was a challenging matter, with such little time to prepare, but things came out on top with my record scot-free—and I feel like it would not have played out like that had I worked with someone other than Kris. Thanks for all the support and for getting things done Kris! As much as I loved working with you—I don't hope to be in an akin situation like that again. But if for some reason I find myself or someone I know in need of a criminal and/or family lawyer, you're the first call!
